A message from Pastor John:

Humanity was made by God, with an inbuilt capacity and a need to offer praise, adoration and worship.  Every culture known to man in history has worshipped some type of God. This is an innate ability and a need of every human being.

God has created us to worship him. Even the local hooligans that were smashing up shops recently week have a need to worship God in their lives.
King David expressed this inner drive to worship God in Psalm 84:2; My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.

Praise should never be offered just because we are trying to get something out of someone. It should be offered out of a response of thankfulness towards the goodness of God, and recognition of who he is.

Praise should be offered from the heart, from within your very being, your innermost person.
We are his sanctuary and his holy place:

1 Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
1 Corinthians 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

Take some time to pray, contemplate and examine your own behavior. Have you grieved the Holy Spirit in any way? Then ask God for forgiveness.

Have you been harboring bitterness in your heart? Forgive, and put your own spirit in order, so that you will be able to praise God wholeheartedly, and not just as lip service.

Once you have searched your heart, you need to seek God's forgiveness, and apply the blood of Jesus to your hearts by faith.

Hebrews 9:14  How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

The Bible tells us that Jesus died on the cross, in order to take our place as sinners, so that our sins can be taken away. He died, and was raised from the dead in victory over sin and Satan.

We can now repent and become spiritually united with Christ.

If you need to repent of your sins, than pray this prayer:

"Father God, I acknowledge that I am a sinner, in need of restoration and forgiveness. Please forgive me of my sins, and accept me into your kingdom. I believe Jesus has risen from the dead, and I accept him as my Lord. Thank you for saving me!"

If you have prayed this from the bottom of your heart, then you are now saved from the effects of sin, and have become a born again Christian!

You can lift your hands with a heart full of praise and worship God without any hindrance:

Ps 150:6 Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.
